| Not prepared to adopt a cat?
Don’t worry, you can be a part of KitKat Ranch by doing all kinds of things – surely you would be good at one of the following:
Driving: We could use help driving cats and kittens to vet appointments.
Delivering: We need individuals to pick up and deliver shipments of cat food and litter.
Cooking: At KitKat Ranch, we are dedicated to providing holistic food and vet care, helping to prevent illness and promote wellness. To this end, we need some meat cookers. That’s right, we said it – we are recruiting people to cook meat (in the comfort of your own home) for the kitties weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Ebaying: KitKat Ranch will be utilizing various creative means for raising funds to support our feline friends. One such mechanism will be selling donated items on Ebay. Anyone want to lure innocent Ebay shoppers into purchasing things they do not need but are convinced they do because it-was-originally-only-a-dollar-and-who-wouldn’t-pay-a-dollar-for-a-good-vintage-lamp, even-though-now-it-is-twenty-nine-dollars to help the cats? Optional roles include advertising, collecting donations, posting items, and mailing products.
Feeding, Scooping, Playing: There are times, albeit infrequently (because we don’t have lives), that we need coverage for feeding and poop-scooping duties. We are seeking individuals willing to occasionally perform these functions and, more importantly, spend quality time engaging and playing with sweet kitties.
Hanging Out: We are looking for kind and gentle people to accompany a limited number of kitties to adoption days at local pet stores. These individuals would need to spend time with the cats while they are at the store, and sometimes help calm their nerves or reduce any anxieties, to ensure that the cats or kittens have the best experience possible.
Fostering: Foster care is a much needed and very important contribution that can range in time from a few weeks to several months. Regardless of the time span that the kitty is in your care, you will feel deeply rewarded knowing you have saved the life of an animal by providing it with a safe haven until its permanent home could be found. We cover any necessary vet costs if you provide the love.
If you would like further information regarding the possibility of helping out in any of the ways described above, email us at info@kitkatranch.org. We will be thrilled. (And don’t worry, we will not try to convince you that you are a meat cooker when that clearly is not the case).
